Sometimes photos and video images of scouts taking part in activities are submitted to the website. If you have any objections, please indicate that you are not willing for your child's image to be used in the way by sending an e-mail to gsl@draycottscouts.org.uk.

Should we decide to make a newslwetter available and If a user wishes to subscribe, we may ask for contact information such as name and e-mail address.

Security
This website takes precautions to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line. When our online forms ask users to enter sensitive information (such as name, e-mail or other information), that information may be encrypted and protected with SSL encryption software. While on a secure page, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just 'surfing'.

While we may use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also take other actions to protect user-information off-line. All of our information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our systems. Only leadership members who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, transmission of event details) are granted access to personally identifiable information. All leadership members are informed about confidentiality and privacy.

Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment, behind a locked cage, arranged through our current ISP, Eclipse Internet at one of two GlobalSwittch Campuses in London.
